Regardless of my last post, which I obviously did not follow up on, I have neglected the site and pretty much only used it for personal file transfer. Essentially I just got bored with it and decided that it is best to just let life flow. I spend enough time on the internet anymore, I don't really need to be attached as much as I am now. I need to unplug.
My brother is getting married to a great gal this weekend, and I am very excited to attend. I am really hoping to draw some inspiration from where I am going, and also get some outside input on just where the heck I should take my life from this point. Am I happy? Yeah, I guess I am. There is just too much left in this life for me to do to sit around and be unhappy with what I am doing.
I get a new person at work soon who I will be overseeing. Going to be doing some web form development and SharePoint design. That should be interesting.
As for HollowSociety and APerfectC.net, they still remain online, waiting for someone to do something with them, eventually. No clue as to what that is or why I would want to waste my time to do anything of the sort for no reward, but someday, maybe, it will be awesome again.
Oh yeah...
I get to see A Perfect Circle, live in concert, at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado. I will undoubtedly be revived into rebuilding the site after seeing the show they put on.
Best wishes, as always,
APC

Re-Restarting
So yeah...
I just kind of let the whole website thing go down the toilet, yet again. Life happens, you know? There is nothing saying that I have to make a website that actually appeals to anyone or has any kind of direction. I think I am just going to start brainstorming when I have a few extra minutes and see what I come up with. I don't think that message boards are popular enough to support anymore, but I do see my website as an opportunity to test out a variety of new web tools (specifically focusing on SQL development) that I can use at work and at play.
In case you were not aware, I am in IT now, and have been for quite some time. I just got back from visiting another company in the same industry in Houston, TX. I have also been to similar companies in Chicago, IL, Ft. Collins, CO, and Oklahoma City, OK. By going to these other businesses, I have gained a lot of knowledge and fully plan to apply that to my current job. Right now we are searching for IT interns in the Kansas City area. If by some miracle you read this, and are in the Kansas City area, AND are looking for an internship (or know someone who is) PLEASE send me a message.
I plan on updating this, regardless of whether I ever get a follower or not. I have decided that it is worth the time for the amount of enjoyment I get from web dev.
Best wishes,
APerfectC

Forums are live... but not really "active" so I suppose I am just spinning my wheels and wasted money. I wish that it could be like the good ol' days, when we all had time to sit around and play with each others minds... the good ol' days. At any rate, due to the extreme low rate of joining and complete lack of posts, I may be changing the entire scope of the site soon to draw in more visitors... I really hate to do it, but I might end up spending money, to make no money. I am sure that none of you really care, but I have spent a lot of time and energy (not to mention money) on getting the site back active. I guess there just isn't any interest for the site, which really bums me out, because I really liked having it... there just isn't enough interest in a forum to actually cause a stir anymore... depressed. Oh well, life goes on, I guess the only thing that I can really do is wait it out and hope that I will be able to get some interest soon.

Logo and Layout
The logo is in the process of being refined. I am also attempting to determine the best file format for storing it. I have gone through JPG, TIF, PNG, and GIF. Out of these, I would love to use png, but the problem is that it doesn't seem to like the gradients that I have placed in the page. I might just modify what the background looks like, which seems to be a solid color but is actually a very fine gradient, which is a pain in the ass when working with logos. I might just end up going back to straight black.
The current theme for the forum is most likely going to be the final one when the forum goes live. I really like it, and while dark is not always good, it is really nice.
This is the link to the actual original theme file:

Site up
Testing phase began today for a new forum on the site. If you happen upon this page, feel free to come and help test the forum before it goes live. http://www.aperfectc.net/test/
It's even funnier AFTER someone gets hurt
"It's only funny until someone gets hurt"
Isn't this something that our parents always ingrained into our minds when we were younger? I think that this is pretty false, it is normally funnier AFTER someone gets hurt.
So what is it EXACTLY about other people's failures that makes us laugh so hard? Is it only in America that when someone gets their junk crushed it is hilarious? Is it more in the way that a person comes to harm that is the funny part, or rather the harm itself. I have no clue, but I can say that I enjoy it.
Well today, I humbly bring to you my favorite fail sites, all full of delightful goodies, but for the love of all things holy, DO NOT look directly into Demi Moore's bush, I'm still shaky.
IF you have no idea what I am talking about, DO NOT search Google for "Demi Moore's Bush"
JUST DON'T DO IT - enjoy
Failblog: This site is one of my favorites, and there is enough funny stuff on there to make you OMGWTFBBQ all day long: http://www.failblog.org
Today's Big Fail: There are some pretty good fails on here, probably my favorite being the stupid kids who appear to light off a bottle rocket in a sealed plastic bottle, I believe you can see that by going to the bottom and looking at the best fails: http://www.todaysbigfail.com
Tosh.0: Daniel Tosh is a very funny stand up comic. His show? Pretty much the dirty America's Funniest Home Videos. This is the first season for the show, and it is a real treat. The site is full of goodies too: http://www.comedycentral.com/Tosh.0/
Awkward Family Photos: If you haven't seen this yet, you need to. The site is full of all kinds of awkward and fail poses that "seemed like a good idea at the time." Well, hindsight is 20-20, right? http://www.awkwardfamilyphotos.com
Thanks for visiting, more goodies tomorrow!

Relaunch date determined
Busy day... but the boards are back in a password protected directory. I am using a PHP based system rather than the previous version, which was an ASP design. This is predominately because of the fact that the new server is Linux based, a decision which myself and many others that are part of the project decided would be the best bet. Attempted to design the auto redirects from the domain to the new folders for each section to no avail. Will work more on this tomorrow. Have a meeting with a local designer here in the city on Wednesday night, and will be discussing the programming of the new site with a close personal friend by Friday. The date is here, for those who care, the site will be fully up and operational as of Tuesday, June 23, 2009, which is actually the 7th anniversary of HollowSociety.org. *tear* Looking forward to the meetings this week and input from the people at my real job, most of which I am going to be asking for programming advice. If you want to get in and help me test the forums, please e-mail me @ ap3rf3ctc at gmail dot com.
